Donald K. Stern Joins Yurko, Salvesen & Remz, P.C.

May 1, 2013 – Business litigation boutique Yurko, Salvesen & Remz, P.C. (YSR), is pleased to announce that Donald K. Stern has become Of Counsel to the firm. He brings a wealth of experience to YSR where his practice will focus on internal investigations, white collar defense and business litigation.  Stern is the former United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, 1993-2001, where he served as the chief federal law enforcement official directing an office of close to 100 attorneys.  In state government, Stern served as the chief legal counsel to Governor Michael S. Dukakis. Most recently, Stern was a member of the Litigation Department of Cooley LLP.

Stern was named as an Advisor to President Barack Obama's transition team for the Justice Department, and is currently the Co-chair of the American Bar Association/Department of Justice White Collar Liaison Committee, and President-Elect of the National Association of Former United States Attorneys. 

Separately from his work at YSR, Stern has also joined Affiliated Monitors, Inc., as Managing Director, Corporate Monitoring and Consulting Services.  There he will oversee the company’s corporate monitoring programs across a wide range of industries:  healthcare, financial services, environmental and others.
